Rob was born on May 10th 1987 and grew up in West Sussex, so quite why he decided to get into rock climbing and mountaineering is still a mystery.
Growing up in rural surroundings inevitably had some effect on his chosen career path but it wasn’t until his later teenage years at his Secondary school, Christ’s Hospital that Rob became close friends with James and started to oraganise extreme adventures.
